A Nigerian couple don allegedly torture dem daughter to death for Adamawa State.
Di couple, Yakubu Isa Arisko, 36, and Veronica Linus, 34, allegedly conspire and kill their daughter, Eunice Yakubu, wey dem accuse say she dey practice witchcraft.
Dem reportedly tie di 9-year-old girl with rope and leave am for sun afta accusing am say she dey bewitch her stepmother, Veronica Linus.
Apart from tying di pikin, her stepmother wey dey four months pregnant, also allegedly pour hot water on her, wey lead to her death.
Di spokesperson for Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, tell SaharaReporters on Monday say di incident happun on April 13, 2024, for Gidan Madara for Mubi South Local Government Area of di state.
“Di man bin divorce di deceased person mama sake of di same witchcraft allegation afta she born four pikin for am. E marry im present wife, Veronica; di two now accuse di deceased of being a witch like her mama.
“Dey torture di pikin until she die and dem don catch dem. Dem go face court for di alleged offences of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide wey dey against sections 60 and 192 of di penal code of Adamawa State,” Nguroje tok.
